In 2021, the keyword "quantum information" has been placed in a very important position in the work reports of several governments around the world. At the same time, the ministries of education of some countries have announced that quantum information science is officially listed as an undergraduate major. In March, CIQTEK came to Tongji University, Shanghai, China, with its experimental course solution based on the Diamond Quantum Computer for Education to boost the development of quantum information science together. Fig. 1 Tongji University Tongji University has a long history and reputation of 114 years and is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. Tongji University's School of Physics and Engineering has always placed great emphasis on teaching physics experiments, encouraging teachers to expand experimental content and develop new experimental projects. Its physics program was approved as a base for the Basic Subjects Outstanding Students Training Program by the Ministry of Education in 2021. Quantum information science education cannot be separated from the close combination of quantum theory and experiment. View MoreQuantum technology has been developed and popularized, eventually bringing human society into the quantum era. On December 22, 2020, Xishan Senior High School in Jiangsu, China officially started the "Quantum Computing Theory and Experiment" course based on CIQTEK Diamond Quantum Computer for Education. This is the first time quantum computing has been introduced into Chinese primary and secondary schools, and it is another breakthrough for the quantum computing industry. Dr. Ming Chen from CIQTEK was explaining quantum computing to the students "The first channel is the laser, the third channel is the measurement, you need to pay attention to the state of each channel." Under the guidance of Dr. Ming Chen from CIQTEK, the students conducted Rabi oscillation experiments using the "Diamond Quantum Computing Teaching Machine". The students said, "It was fun to do quantum computing experiments with my classmates! This class allowed me to be exposed to cutting-edge technology during my high school years, which laid the foundation for my future major choice." Unlike Newton's classical theory, which emphasizes "certainty", "mechanics", and "uniqueness", quantum theory emphasizes "unmeasured ", "not unique", "interaction". The interaction between people in real life, the social state of one person with many faces, is obviously more consistent with quantum theory. Teaching the quantum theory way of thinking to children will allow them to quickly integrate into the forefront of world development. Countries around the world are gradually front-loading quantum teaching. In the United States, quantum computing education has been written into the National K12 Education Act, and in Europe, activities such as quantum computing basic education and quantum science summer camps are prevalent. Students experimenting on the CIQTEK Diamond Quantum Computer for Education CIQTEK Vice President Feng Zedong introduced, CIQTEK Diamond Quantum Computer for Education includes a series of courses on the basic theory of quantum computing, development history and experimental exploration, etc. The experimental part contains continuous wave experiments, Rabi oscillation experiments, echo experiments, T2 experiments, DJ experiments, etc. Students will experience the differences between quantum computing and ordinary computing, and explore the applications of quantum computing in new drug research, big data algorithms, password cracking and other fields. CIQTEK Diamond Quantum Computer for Education The Diamond Quantum Computer for Education is a teaching instrument based on the principle of NV-center and spin magnetic resonance in diamond, which can quantum manipulate and read out the spins of NV-center by controlling physical quantities such as laser, microwave, and magnetic field, so as to achieve quantum computing function.Based on this instrument, CIQTEK can provide overall solutions for quantum computing ...
View MoreRecently, the experimental course "Fundamentals of Quantum Information Technology", which is based on CIQTEK Diamond Quantum Computer for Education, was officially opened in the College of Physical Science and Technology of Central China Normal University in Wu Han, China. Students Using CIQTEK Diamond Quantum Computer for Education in the Fundamentals of Quantum Information Technology Course At this stage, the rapid development of quantum technology is not compatible with the serious lack of quantum technology practitioners, engineering, and technical personnel who do not have a deep enough understanding of quantum technology, they lack practical skills. These have seriously limited the development and application of quantum technology. The lack of talent comes from the lack of education, but also from the lagging of education methods and tools. Although many universities are currently offering courses related to quantum mechanics, most of the existing courses and textbooks focus on physical principles and verification experiments of basic schemes from the thinking mode and system structure. The School of Physical Science and Technology of Central China Normal University The School of Physical Science and Technology of Central China Normal University is a national base for research and teaching talents in basic science (physics). The college focuses on strengthening curriculum construction and teaching reform, and vigorously promotes the innovation of talent training mode.
